Important to mention another loss for outsider Diamond Valley Eagles, who are unable to win a single game so far. This time they lost in a game in Greensborough versus leader Eltham Wildcats 92-86. Eltham Wildcats forced 21 Diamond Valley Eagles turnovers. American guard Josh Sykes (203, college: Fresno City CC) nailed a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Adam Doyle (176-91) accounted for 15 points, 10 assists and 4 steals. Four Eltham Wildcats players scored in double figures. Guard Joel Spear (192-94, college: S.Oregon) came up with 30 points and 8 rebounds and American forward Logan Hovey (200-94, college: SW Baptist) added 17 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Diamond Valley Eagles in the defeat. Diamond Valley Eagles' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Eltham Wildcats (1-0) left bottom position moving up to fifth place in League. Loser Diamond Valley Eagles still closes the standings with one game lost. Eltham Wildcats will meet at home Waverley Falcons (#10) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
