LEB Gold top team - Real Betis (25-4) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat fifth ranked CB Granada (17-12) in Sevilla 93-80. Real Betis shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. American point guard Johnny Dee (183-92, college: San Diego) nailed 21 points for the winning side and Swedish point guard Tobias Borg (184-93) accounted for 20 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Real Betis' coach Curro Segura used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Joan Pardina (201-93, agency: Interperformances) came up with 20 points and the former international center Guillem Rubio (202-82) added 17 points and 5 rebounds respectively for CB Granada in the defeat. Four CB Granada players scored in double figures. Real Betis have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 25-4 record. Newly promoted CB Granada dropped to the sixth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Palencia and Palma. Real Betis will meet Real Canoe (#14) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. CB Granada will play against Palma (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
