Second Stage Round 3: Le Havre - Saint-Quentin 75-73

The most exciting game of round 3 in the NM1 took place in Le Havre. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of Saint-Quentin (8-3) to STB Le Havre (8-3) 75-73 in the game for the second place. STB Le Havre dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Saint-Quentin's 32. It was a good game for American forward Demond Watt (200-89, college: Texas A&M-CC) who led his team to a victory with 12 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Spanish point guard Mikel Uriz (182-89) contributed with 12 points, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners. STB Le Havre's coach Herve Coudray used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American-Jamaican center Ryan Rhoomes (203-92, college: Fordham, agency: Duran International) answered with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and Benoit Gillet (190-86) added 11 points and 4 assists in the effort for Saint-Quentin. Five STB Le Havre and four Saint-Quentin players scored in double figures. STB Le Havre is looking forward to face Souffelweyersheim on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Saint-Quentin will play against JSA Bordeaux and is hoping to win this game.
