We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 5th ranked Girona Basquet (15-14) was defeated at home by sixth ranked Azpeitia ISB (15-13) 86-69 on Sunday. Azpeitia ISB outrebounded Girona Basquet 36-24 including 25 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Ukrainian center Volodymyr Orlov (208-95) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Spencer Reaves (190-95, college: Central Mo., agency: Duran International) who added 18 points during the contest. At the losing side forward Jordi Trias (208-80) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Sergi Costa (188-96) scored 14 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Azpeitia ISB moved-up to third place in Silver. Newly promoted Girona Basquet keeps the fifth position with 14 games lost. Azpeitia ISB will face league's second-placed Almansa on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Girona Basquet will play against the league's leader Navarra and hope to win that game.
