There was a minor upset when higher ranked Panthers (2-3) lost to tenth ranked Sydney City Comets (2-3) in Penrith 82-86 on Sunday. Naturalized American guard Indiana Faithfull (193-91, college: West Liberty) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Nate Sutton contributed with 13 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Sydney City Comets players scored in double figures. Forward Sean Weekes (194) answered with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds and guard Benjamin Kearins (188, agency: MKP Management) added 18 points and 4 assists in the effort for Panthers. Panthers' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Sydney City Comets moved-up to ninth place in League. Sydney City Comets will face higher ranked Hills Hornets (#3) in Baulkham Hills in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Panthers will play at home against Spiders (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
