Regular Season Round 24: Sandvika - Ullern 49-64

Kvinneligaen top team - Ullern (20-1) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat fifth ranked Sandvika (9-12) 64-49. It looked good early as Sandvika took a 10-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Ullern took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 15 points. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Sandvika to just 6 points in fourth quarter. Ullern dominated down low during the game scoring 38 of its points in the paint compared to Sandvika's 16. They outrebounded Sandvika 38-19 including a 27-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by guard Anniken Frey (165-0) who scored that evening 22 points and 6 rebounds and forward Mia Henriksen (180-84) supported her with 20 points. Ullern's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 21 points by American guard Makala Roper (173-96, college: UCSB) did not help to save the game for Sandvika. International forward Severine Uggen (183-99) added 13 points and 6 rebounds. Ullern have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 20-1 record. Sandvika lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 12 games lost.
