LMBPF round 6 most important game was a victory of Mexcaltecas over one of their biggest challengers Gamos 68-67 on Sunday night. It was a good game for the former international center Jazmin Valenzuela (187-89) who saved her team from a defeat with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds. The former international point guard Paola Beltran (164-94) contributed with 19 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Colombian forward Luz Asprilla (183-92) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and Ivon Vite added 14 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Gamos. Mexcaltecas have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Gamos at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with Quetzales. Mexcaltecas are looking forward to face Escaramuzas (#7) in Guadalajara in the next round. Gamos' supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Ciudad de Mexico Quetzales.
