There was no surprise when bottom-ranked Devils (0-4) were outleveled by leader Magic (3-0) in Werribee 129-110 on Sunday. Magic made 32-of-38 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game, while Devils only scored fourteen points from the stripe. Magic looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Forward Alex Bogart-King (200) orchestrated the victory by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds. Jack Barry (-94) contributed with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 assists for the winners. Five Magic players scored in double figures. Magic's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. American David Shepard (201-94, college: Lindenwood-Bellev.) answered with 49 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and the other American import forward Konor Kulas (201-94, college: S.Dakota Mines) added 28 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Devils. Magic keeps a position of League leader. Loser Devils still closes the standings with four games lost. Magic will face league's second-placed Cougars in McKinnon in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week.
