TSV Bayer 04 outrebounded Young Dragons 56-26 including a 22-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. 27 personal fouls committed by Young Dragons helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Lars Thiemann (208-0) nailed a double-double by scoring 18 points and 21 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Lennard Winter (195-0) accounted for 25 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Radii Caisin (197-1) came up with 17 points and 5 rebounds and Samuel Schmedes (198-0) added 19 points respectively for Young Dragons in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest.
