This time Central District Lions used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Mt. Barker 105-94 on Sunday night. Central District Lions made 26-of-32 free shots (81.3 percent) during the game. Eastern Mavericks were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Apiok Dau orchestrated the victory by scoring 21 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Chol Luk (196, college: Lamar St.CC) contributed with 24 points for the winners. Four Central District Lions players scored in double figures. American forward Brandon Morris (203-94, college: Benedict) answered with a double-double by scoring 42 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds and the other American import guard Novian Cherry (193-92, college: CS San Marcos) added 19 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Eastern Mavericks. Central District Lions (3-2) moved-up to third place in League. Loser Eastern Mavericks dropped to the eighth position with three games lost. Central District Lions will face Noarlunga City Southern Tigers (#7) in Morphett Vale in the next round. Eastern Mavericks will play on the road against North Adelaide Rockets in Greenacres and hope to win that game.
