Regular Season Round 27: Senigallia - Pescara 87-80

There was a small surprise when sixth ranked Senigallia (15-9) won against at home 4th placed Pescara (17-8) 87-80 on Sunday. Pescara was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for guard Giacomo Gurini (192-84) who led his team to a victory with 33 points (!!!) (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Guard Andrea Maggiotto (190-88, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 19 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Guard Ennio Leonzio (191-94) answered with 21 points and swingman Alessandro Poti (192-91) added 17 points in the effort for Pescara. Four Pescara players scored in double figures. Senigallia maintains sixth place in B with 15-9 record. Loser Pescara keeps the fourth position with eight games lost. Senigallia will face Civitanova (#10) on the road in the next round. Pescara will play against Giulianova (#8) and hope to win that game.
