Regular Season Round 21: Mondeville - Flammes 44-70

There was no surprise when 12th ranked Mondeville (2-19) was crushed at home by fourth ranked Flammes (13-8) 70-44 on Sunday. The former international guard Amel Bouderra (160-89) stepped up and scored 18 points for the winners and the former international center Ana-Maria Filip (195-89) chipped in 12 points and 10 rebounds. Four Flammes players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was power forward Assitan Kone (190-95) with 10 points and American forward Courtney Hurt (185-90, college: VCU) scored 7 points. Mondeville's coach Romain Lhermitte gave up on the game allowing to play twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Flammes maintains fourth place with 13-8 record. Mondeville lost third consecutive game. They stay dead last with 19 lost games. Flammes will meet Nantes Reze (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Mondeville will play against Bretagne Basket and hope to secure a win.
