Quarter-Finals Round 3: Zaporizhye - Cherkasy 81-80

Zaporizhye nipped Cherkasy to advance into the semifinal stage. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 25-17. But Cherkasy won second period 22-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. 31 personal fouls committed by Cherkasy helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for American forward Kyndahl Hill (201-94, college: Weber St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Mike Holton-Jr (185-90, college: St.Michael's) helped adding 15 points and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was American guard Brandon Young (193-91, college: DePaul) with 15 points and 8 assists and the former international swingman Oleksandr Kolchenko (195-88) scored 20 points. Five Cherkasy players scored in double figures. Cherkasy's coach Maksym Mikhelson rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
