Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Tokyo: Toyota Alvark (#3) and Hitachi Sunrockers (#4). Hitachi Sunrockers were crushed at home by 49 points 61-110 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Hitachi Sunrockers. Toyota Alvark dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Hitachi Sunrockers' 34 and made 17-of-18 charity shots (94.4 percent) during the game. Toyota Alvark had a 35-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 76.5 percentage. Toyota Alvark players were unselfish on offense dishing 31 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Hitachi Sunrockers' players. Montenegrin-Serbian power forward Milko Bjelica (207-84, agency: BeoBasket) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 4 assists. The former international point guard Takumi Saito (172-95) contributed with 15 points and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. Five Toyota Alvark players scored in double figures. American Ryan Kelly (211-91, college: Duke) answered with 22 points and 5 rebounds and Canadian center Robert Sacre (213-89, college: Gonzaga) added 12 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Hitachi Sunrockers. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Toyota Alvark (40-13) have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. Defending champion maintains third place having five points less than leader Ryukyu GK. Hitachi Sunrockers at the other side keep the fourth position with 28 games lost. Toyota Alvark's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Tochigi Brex on the road and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hitachi Sunrockers will play against Akita Happinets and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
