Second Stage Round 4: Kaysersberg - Angers 55-85

Very expected game when 19th ranked Kaysersberg (4-8) was crushed at home by twelfth ranked Etoile Angers (9-3) 85-55 on Friday. Etoile Angers dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Kaysersberg's 24. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Kaysersberg's players. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Jeremy Bichard (186-90) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 6 assists and DR Congolese swingman Shekinah Munanga (201-97) who added 10 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Five Etoile Angers players scored in double figures. Etoile Angers' coach Laurent Buffard felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side point guard Kevin Walter (188-88) responded with 14 points and 4 assists and swingman Laurian Tarris (197-93) scored 9 points and 5 rebounds. Etoile Angers have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Charleville and Le Havre. Kaysersberg at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the eighth position with eight games lost. Etoile Angers will face Feurs EF (#18) at home in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Kaysersberg will play against La Rochelle (#17) and hope to win that game.
