Eighth-ranked RCOP Tsmoki (6-22) was very close to win a game against first ranked COR-Borisfen (26-4) in Mogilev on Saturday. COR-Borisfen managed to secure only three-point victory 88-85. However their fans expected much easier game. COR-Borisfen made 22-of-25 free shots (88.0 percent) during the game. American guard Brian Starr (190-96, college: Towson) notched 24 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists (made all of his eight free throws) to lead the effort and Ukrainian power forward Vadym Prokopenko (206-95) supported him with 21 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws). Starr is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even 16 points and 4 assists by international point guard Andrey Rogozenko (183-97) did not help to save the game for RCOP Tsmoki. Point guard Andrey Staborovskij (185-97) added 12 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Four RCOP Tsmoki players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. COR-Borisfen maintains first position with 26-4 record. Loser RCOP Tsmoki keeps the eighth place with 22 games lost.
