Regular Season Round 26: Moncalieri - Crema 57-60

A very interesting game took place in Moncalieri. It ended with only three-point home defeat of 4th ranked Moncalieri (17-9) to third ranked Team Crema (21-5) 60-57 on Saturday evening. Team Crema forced 27 Moncalieri turnovers. Strangely Moncalieri outrebounded Team Crema 40-28 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was power forward Alice Nori (182-93) who scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Francesca Melchiori (174-93, agency: SPORTlab Agency) chipped in 13 points and 5 steals. German forward Stefanie Grigoleit (186-89) produced 8 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Anastasia Conte (171-0) added 13 points respectively for the hosts. Moncalieri's coach Paolo Terzolo tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Team Crema moved-up to second place in A2. Newly promoted Moncalieri keeps the fourth position with nine games lost. Team Crema's next round opponent will be Vicenza (#7) at home where they are favorite. Moncalieri will play against Bolzano AV and hope to win that game.
