Regular Season Round 55: Aomori Watts - Fukushima 75-72

A very interesting game took place in Aomori. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 4th placed Fukushima (23-32) to sixth ranked Aomori Watts (14-41) 75-72 on Saturday evening. Aomori Watts made 20-of-26 charity shots (76.9 percent) during the game. American forward Cullen Russo (206-94, college: Fresno St.) fired a double-double by scoring 22 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Point guard Keisuke Aita (182-95) chipped in 23 points and 5 assists. American power forward Evan Ravenel (204-89, college: Ohio St.) produced a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import center Chris Brady (208-95, college: Monmouth) added 23 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Aomori Watts maintains sixth place with 14-41 record. Fukushima lost their third game in a row. They keep the fourth position with 32 games lost. Aomori Watts' next round opponent will be again higher ranked Fukushima (#4) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
