Regular Season Round 26: Obradoiro - Zaragoza 84-91

Date: April 7, 2019
Rather predictable result when ninth ranked Zaragoza (13-12) won against 11th ranked Blusens Monbus (11-14) in Santiago de Comp 91-84. Blusens Monbus was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 47-38 second half run of Zaragoza. They dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Blusens Monbus' 26. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Nacho Martin (202-83) who scored 29 points and 7 rebounds. Nigerian-American swingman Stan Okoye (198-91, college: VMI) chipped in 15 points. International center Nacho Llovet (202-91) produced 11 points and 8 rebounds and American forward Kyle Singler (203-88, college: Duke) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Zaragoza maintains ninth position with 13-12 record. Blusens Monbus at the other side dropped to the twelfth place with 14 games lost. Zaragoza's next round opponent will be league's leader FC Barcelona at home and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Blusens Monbus will play against the league's second-placed Real Madrid (#2) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
