Regular Season Round 55: Nagoya DD - Osaka Evessa 87-86

Fourth-ranked Osaka Evessa (20-35) was very close to win a game against third ranked Diamond Dolphins (30-25) in Nagoya on Sunday. Diamond Dolphins managed to secure only one-point victory 87-86. However their fans expected easier game. Diamond Dolphins dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Osaka Evessa's 30. Diamond Dolphins looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Justin Burrell (207-88, college: St.John's) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international guard Shuto Ando (189-94) contributed with 23 points and 5 assists for the winners. American forward Josh Harrellson (208-89, college: Kentucky) answered with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 18 rebounds and the other American import power forward Xavier Gibson (210-88, college: FSU) added 26 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Osaka Evessa. Diamond Dolphins have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Osaka Evessa at the other side keeps the fourth position with 35 games lost. Diamond Dolphins are looking forward to face league's leader Ryukyu GK in Okinawa in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Osaka Evessa will play on the road against Fukuoka Rizing and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
