Regular Season Round 28: Alba - San Miniato 86-78

There was a minor upset when 5th ranked San Miniato (18-10) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked Alba (17-11) 86-78 on Sunday. Alba made 17-of-18 free shots (94.4 percent) during the game. Alba outrebounded San Miniato 38-25 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Alba especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 69.2 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Giacomo DellAgnello (200-94) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 6 rebounds and guard Diego Terenzi (190-95) who added 18 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) during the contest. At the losing side guard Ferdinando Nasello (194-95) responded with 24 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Michele Magini (185-88) scored 20 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Alba maintains eighth position in B with 17-11 record. Loser San Miniato dropped to the fourth place with ten games lost. Alba will face Cecina (#15) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. San Miniato will play against Mamy.eu Oleggio (#9) and hope to win that game.
