Regular Season Round 28: Ardoi - Univ.Valladolid 77-71

Everything went according to plan when first ranked Ardoi (22-2) defeated 12th ranked Univ.Valladolid (6-18) in Zizur Mayor 77-71 on Sunday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Quite impressive performance for naturalized Ukrainian forward Anton Savitski (196-86) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Pope Urtasun (187-80) contributed with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Ardoi players scored in double figures. Power forward Adrian Pascual (200-88) replied with 8 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Alejandro Pescador (180-97) added 18 points in the effort for Univ.Valladolid. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Ardoi have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group A-A with 22-2 record. Loser Univ.Valladolid keeps the twelfth place with 18 games lost. Ardoi will face Ordizia-Basoa (#14) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Univ.Valladolid will play against Easo and hope to win that game.
