Regular Season Round 56: Tokyo HT - Toyotsu FE 59-100

Very expected game when 6th ranked Tokyo HT (11-44) was crushed at home by second ranked Toyotsu FE (38-17) 100-59 on Sunday. Toyotsu FE outrebounded Tokyo HT 45-29 including a 34-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 56.5 percentage. Toyotsu FE looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Tokyo HT's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Garrett Stutz (214-90, college: Wichita St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points and 14 rebounds and the other American import forward Josh Hawkinson (208-95, college: WSU) who added 18 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists during the contest. Four Toyotsu FE players scored in double figures. American center Jordan Richard (206-89, college: CS Los Angeles, agency: Slash Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds and Yu Okada (184-83) scored 19 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Toyotsu FE have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 38-17 record having just three points less than leader Shinshu BW. Newly promoted Tokyo HT keeps the sixth place with 44 games lost.
