There was no surprise when 12th ranked Bnei Hasharon (6-20) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Hapoel Tel-Aviv (12-14) 90-73 on Wednesday. Hapoel Tel-Aviv outrebounded Bnei Hasharon 38-26 including 27 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The former international Raviv Limonad (191-84) scored 16 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists to lead the charge for the winners and American guard Jerel McNeal (190-87, college: Marquette) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Hapoel Tel-Aviv's coach Danny Franco allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Canadian guard Xavier Rathan-Mayes (193-94, college: FSU) responded with 16 points and 4 assists and the former international Karam Mashour (198-91, college: Morehead St.) scored 15 points and 4 steals. Five Hapoel Tel-Aviv and four Bnei Hasharon players scored in double figures. Hapoel Tel-Aviv have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position with 12-14 record, which they share with Nes-Ziona. Loser Bnei Hasharon stay at the bottom place with 20 games lost.
