Regular Season Round 23: Kymis - Ifestos 90-83

We should mention about the upset which took place in Kymis, where higher ranked Ifestos (12-11) lost to twelfth ranked Kymis (6-17) in a road game 83-90 on Wednesday. Ifestos was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. It was a great evening for American swingman Scott Suggs (197-89, college: Washington) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points and 6 rebounds. Center Stavros Toutziarakis (210-87, agency: Octagon Europe) helped adding 14 points and 11 rebounds. American Sean Evans (203-88, college: St.John's) responded with 19 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) and Latvian Rolands Freimanis (208-88, agency: Alti Sport) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Five Kymis and four Ifestos players scored in double figures. Ifestos' coach Sotiris Manolopoulos rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Kymis moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Lavrio. Loser Ifestos keeps the seventh position with 11 games lost. Kymis will meet higher ranked Aris (#9) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ifestos will play against Cretan Kings and hope to secure a win.
