Everything went according to plan when first ranked Nuggets (54-28) defeated 5th ranked Timberwolves (36-46) in Minnesota 99-95 on Wednesday. They outrebounded Timberwolves 53-41 including 41 on the defensive glass. Nuggets looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a good game for Serbian center Nikola Jokic (209-95, agency: BeoBasket) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 29 points and 14 rebounds. Canadian swingman Jamal Murray (198-97, college: Kentucky) contributed with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Canadian guard Andrew Wiggins (203-95, college: Kansas) replied with 25 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Senegalese center Gorgui Dieng (211-90, college: Louisville) added 18 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Timberwolves. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Timberwolves' coach let to play ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Nuggets maintains first position with 54-28 record.
