Regular Season Round 28: Den Bosch - Limburg 89-72
Date: April 11, 2019
Very predictable result when third ranked Den Bosch (23-7) won against at home bottom-ranked BA Limburg (5-27) 89-72 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Den Bosch. BA Limburg managed to win second period 23-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 27-of-33 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game, while BA Limburg only scored eleven points from the stripe. The winners were led by American guard Vernon Taylor (192-87, college: Troy) who scored that evening 20 points and 5 assists and the other American import forward Jonathon Williams (198-90, college: Wagner) supported him with 17 points and 5 rebounds. Four Den Bosch players scored in double figures. Even 8 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists by forward Frederik Adriaans (200-95) did not help to save the game for BA Limburg. Point guard Nino Gorissen (176-97) added 13 points and 6 assists for lost side. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Den Bosch have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 23-7 record having four points less than leader Leiden. Loser BA Limburg stay dead last with 27 lost games. Den Bosch will meet league's leader Leiden on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. BA Limburg will play against Dutch Windmills (#5) and hope to secure a win.
