Regular Season Round 7: East Perth E. - SW Slammers 85-83

Date: April 12, 2019
Very predictable result in Morley where ninth ranked Eagles (4-3) edged bottom-ranked Slammers (0-7) 85-83 on Friday. However just two-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Eagles forced 20 Slammers turnovers. American guard Cameron Williams (185-95, college: MSU Denver) fired 19 points and 5 assists for the winners. Forward Andrej Donlagic (197-97) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. Four Eagles players scored in double figures. Eagles' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American guard Michael Lay (179-84, college: Concordia, OR) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists and the other American import swingman Tyler Livingston (198-94, college: UMass Lowell) added 19 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Eagles moved-up to seventh place in League. Loser Slammers still closes the standings with seven games lost. Eagles will face Suns (#10) in Kalamunda in the next round. Slammers will play on the road against Magic (#13) in Mandurah and hope to get finally their first victory.
