Regular Season Round 7: Frankston B. - Geelong S. 77-72

There was a surprise result in Seaford where fifteenth ranked Frankston Blues (1-2) beat higher ranked Geelong Supercats (1-2) 77-72 on Friday. Frankston Blues made 27-of-32 free shots (84.4 percent) during the game. Geelong Supercats were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Damon Bozeman (190, college: Saginaw Valley) fired 20 points and 5 assists for the winners. The former international guard Igor Hadziomerovic (193-92, college: Boise St.) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds. American guard Demarcus Gatlin (193, college: SHSU) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and naturalized British forward Lewis Thomas (203-92, college: W.Oregon) added 11 points and 11 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Geelong Supercats' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Frankston Blues left bottom position moving up to tenth place in League. Frankston Blues will face Bendigo Braves (#15) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Geelong Supercats will play against Eltham Wildcats and hope to win that game.
