Not a big story in a game in North Lake where 8th ranked Tigers (3-4) were defeated by fourth ranked Lightning (4-1) 89-78 on Friday. Lightning looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American forward Joseph Wall (198-89, college: Seattle Pacific) fired 35 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds for the winners. Guard Rowan Mackenzie (188-99) chipped in 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Guard Damien Scott (192-92) produced 21 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists and guard Jackson Hussey (190-92, college: Pikeville) added 20 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Tigers players scored in double figures. Tigers' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Lightning moved-up to third place in League. Loser Tigers dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. Lightning will face Cougars (#11) in Hamilton Hill in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Tigers will play on the road against Hawks in Floreat and hope to win that game.
