Very expected game when 17th ranked Caen (7-19) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Saint Chamond (17-9) 72-64 on Friday. Saint Chamond outrebounded Caen 40-25 including 29 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was center Bodian Massa (205-97) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. Cuban power forward Grismay Paumier (205-88) chipped in 5 points and 14 rebounds. Saint Chamond's coach Alain Thinet allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games.
