Nuernberg held off Trier to complete the sweep. Nuernberg dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Gladiators' 32. Nuernberg forced 19 Gladiators turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Gladiators' players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Nuernberg made 8 blocks. Worth to mention a quality performance of point guard Nils Hassfurther (187-99) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 assists. Center Robert Oehle (209-88) helped adding 15 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Four Nuernberg players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Kelvin Lewis (195-88, college: Houston) with 9 points and power forward Till Gloger (204-93, college: Maine) scored 6 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
