Another interesting game for BC Nokia (16-23) which hosted higher ranked KTP-Basket (22-17). Eighth ranked BC Nokia had an easy win 101-89. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of KTP-Basket. The game was mostly controlled by BC Nokia. KTP-Basket was better in second period 22-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BC Nokia shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 52.0 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. American power forward Kevin Langford (203-85, college: TCU, agency: Octagon Europe) responded with 19 points and 8 rebounds and the former international point guard Antto Nikkarinen (185-91, agency: Blacktop Management) scored 15 points and 4 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. BC Nokia maintains eighth position with 16-23 record. KTP-Basket at the other side dropped to the fifth place with 17 games lost. BC Nokia will play against higher ranked Helsinki Seagulls (#7) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. KTP-Basket will play against UU-Korihait and hopes to get back on the winning track.
