Regular Season Round 30: Aquimisa LZ - Azuqueca 81-74

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Zamorano (17-13) beat at home 10th ranked Azuqueca (13-17) 81-74 on Saturday. They outrebounded Azuqueca 39-28 including 31 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for French point guard Sango Niang (183-93, college: Simon Fraser) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 8 assists. American-Nigerian guard Deji Ibitayo (193-93, college: Akron) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Zamorano's coach Saulo Hernandez used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Canadian-Polish forward Nick Madray (206-94, college: Wagner) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and Nigerian forward Jeffrey Solarin (193-92, college: Idaho St.) added 18 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Azuqueca. Four Azuqueca players scored in double figures. Zamorano maintains second position in Silver with 17-13 record having eight points less than leader Lucentum. Newly promoted Azuqueca keeps the tenth place with 17 games lost. Zamorano will face league's leader HLA Alicante on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Azuqueca will play against Azpeitia ISB (#3) and hope to win that game.
