There was a minor upset when 10th ranked Granada (8-17) was edged by twelfth ranked Genero (8-18) in Las Palmas 67-64 on Saturday. American guard Kate Letkewicz (183-96, college: Dartmouth) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Sara Duarte (167-95) contributed with 10 points for the winners. Latvian center Marta Miscenko (193-95, college: Wingate) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and forward Rebeca Rodriguez (180-93) added 15 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Granada. Four Granada players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Genero have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to eleventh place in Group B, which they share with UCAM Jairis. Loser Granada keeps the tenth position with 17 games lost.
