There was no surprise in Mt. Barker where 8th ranked Eastern Mavericks (2-5) were defeated by fifth ranked Noarlunga City Southern Tigers (4-2) 105-101 on Saturday. Noarlunga City Southern Tigers dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Eastern Mavericks' 46. Noarlunga City Southern Tigers forced 20 Eastern Mavericks turnovers. American swingman CJ Turnage (201-95, college: Saginaw Valley) fired a double-double by scoring 32 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 7 steals for the winners. The former international swingman Anthony Drmic (198-92, college: Boise St.) chipped in 29 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. American forward Brandon Morris (203-94, college: Benedict) produced a double-double by scoring 25 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists and center Devon McGee (205-97) added 15 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for lost side.
