Regular Season Round 57: Osaka Evessa - Ryukyu GK 66-62

Top ranked Ryukyu GK (37-20) recorded its twentieth loss on the court of fourth ranked Osaka Evessa on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Osaka Evessa 66-62. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Ryukyu GK. Strangely Ryukyu GK outrebounded Osaka Evessa 44-30 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American power forward Xavier Gibson (210-88, college: FSU) who had a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Josh Harrellson (208-89, college: Kentucky) chipped in 9 points and 12 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Kevin Jones (206-89, college: WVU) who recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds and the former international guard Ryuichi Kishimoto (176-90) added 15 points respectively. Osaka Evessa maintains fourth place with 22-35 record, which they share with San-en. Ryukyu GK at the other side still keeps top position with 20 games lost. Osaka Evessa is again looking forward to face league's leader Ryukyu GK in Okinawa in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ryukyu GK will have a break next round.
