Very predictable result when twelfth ranked Etoile Angers (10-3) edged at home 18th ranked Feurs EF (4-9) 82-79 on Saturday. However just three-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Etoile Angers looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was point guard Jeremy Bichard (186-90) who scored 11 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. DR Congolese swingman Shekinah Munanga (201-97) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. Etoile Angers' coach Laurent Buffard used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Forward Momar Ndoye (200-95) produced 23 points and 6 rebounds and forward Bastien Albert (200-94) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Five Etoile Angers and four Feurs EF players scored in double figures. Etoile Angers have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Charleville and Le Havre. Feurs EF lost sixth consecutive game. Feurs EF at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the eighteenth position with nine games lost. Etoile Angers will face Charleville-Mezieres (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Feurs EF will play against Toulouse (#16) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
