LEB Silver top team - HLA Alicante (25-5) added another victory to their record. This time they beat sixth ranked Estela (15-15) in Santander 76-68. They outrebounded Estela 46-27 including a 35-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American point guard Justin Pitts (178-94, college: NW Missouri St., agency: Duran International) who scored 15 points and 4 assists. Point guard Enric Garrido (178-82) chipped in 12 points and 4 assists. HLA Alicante's coach Pedro Rivero allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American swingman Andre Norris (201-94, college: Dubuque, agency: Two Points) who recorded a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Lamonte Thomas (187-90, college: J.and Wales, RI) added 12 points and 7 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. HLA Alicante maintains first position in Silver with 25-5 record. Newly promoted Estela keeps the sixth place with 15 games lost. HLA Alicante's next round opponent will be league's second-placed Zamorano at home and it will be for sure the game of the week.
