Sixth-ranked Melilla Baloncesto (18-13) made lots of trouble for second ranked RETAbet BB (22-9) in Bilbao on Sunday. RETAbet BB managed to secure only three-point victory 62-59. However their fans expected much easier game. Brazilian forward Leonardo Demetrio (208-94) fired 10 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Danish center Kevin Larsen (207-93, college: GWU) chipped in 8 points and 6 rebounds. RETAbet BB's coach Alex Mumbru used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game. Canadian-Nigerian guard Caleb Agada (193-94, college: Ottawa, agency: Blacktop Management) produced 19 points and 5 rebounds and Serbian center Darko Balaban (211-89, agency: PEPI SPORT) added 9 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. RETAbet BB have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain second place with 22-9 record having five points less than leader Real Betis. Melilla Baloncesto lost fourth consecutive game. Melilla Baloncesto at the other side keeps the sixth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Granada and Palencia. RETAbet BB are looking forward to face CB Granada (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Melilla Baloncesto will play against Caceres Basket and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
