Very important is a road loss of third ranked Tokyo Cinq R. (4-4) against fifth ranked Saitama Broncos (3-3) on Sunday night. Visiting Tokyo Cinq R. was defeated by Saitama Broncos in Saitama 94-81. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Tokyo Cinq R.. Saitama Broncos players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The winners were led by American center Joshua Crawford (211-88, college: Indiana St.) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 19 rebounds and Masaya Ueda (177-93) supported him with 17 points and 5 assists. Saitama Broncos' coach Samir StClair used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even a double-double of 30 points and 10 rebounds by American forward Chris Olivier (203-92, college: Oklahoma St.) did not help to save the game for Tokyo Cinq R.. Kodai Takahashi (180-91) added 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for lost side. Four Tokyo Cinq R. players scored in double figures. Saitama Broncos moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Iwate Big Bulls. Tokyo Cinq R. at the other side dropped to the second position with four games lost. Saitama Broncos' next round opponent will be league's leader Tokyo Excel. on the road and it may be the game of the week. Tokyo Cinq R. will play against Iwate Big Bulls and hope to win that game.
