Regular Season Round 26: Germani BR - Vanoli CR 86-89
Date: April 14, 2019
Twelfth-ranked Germani BR (12-14) gave a tough game to third ranked Vanoli Cremona (17-9) in Brescia. The visitors from Cremona managed to secure only three-point victory 89-86. However their fans expected much easier game. American guard Drew Crawford (196-90, college: Northwestern) notched 20 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and Australian-South Sudanese power forward Mangok Mathiang (208-92, college: Louisville) supported him with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Even 26 points and 9 rebounds by international Awudu Abass (199-93, agency: Players Group) did not help to save the game for Germani BR. American forward Jordan Hamilton (201-90, college: Texas) added 11 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists for the hosts. Five Vanoli Cremona and four Germani BR players scored in double figures. Vanoli Cremona maintains third position with 17-9 record having just three points less than leader AX Armani. Germani BR at the other side dropped to the eleventh place with 14 games lost. They share the position with Virtus Bologna. Vanoli Cremona will play against Happy Casa BR (#4) in Brindisi in the next round.
