Eighth-ranked Benacquista LT (14-13) made lots of trouble for second ranked Benfapp CdO (19-8) in Latina. The visitors from Capo d'Orlando managed to secure only three-point victory 96-93. However their fans expected much easier game. Benfapp CdO made 16-of-20 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. American guard Brandon Triche (193-91, college: Syracuse) orchestrated the victory by scoring 38 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import forward Jordan Parks (201-94, college: NC Central, agency: Inception Sports) contributed with 27 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Benfapp CdO's coach Marco Sodini allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Naturalized Argentinian swingman Agustin Fabi (199-91) answered with 28 points and British point guard Andrew Lawrence (185-90, college: Charleston, agency: Two Points) added 23 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Benacquista LT. Four Benacquista LT players scored in double figures. Benfapp CdO maintains second place in A2 with 19-8 record having seven points less than leader Consultinvest BO. Benacquista LT at the other side dropped to the ninth position with 13 games lost. Benfapp CdO will play against Pall. Trapani (#8) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Benacquista LT will play against Eurobasket RO in Roma and hopes to get back on the winning track.
