Rather predictable result when first ranked Deco (26-3) defeated on the road 5th ranked Olimpia Matera (19-9) 84-70 on Sunday. Deco dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Olimpia Matera's 26. Forward Alex Ranuzzi (195-86, agency: Interperformances) stepped up and scored 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and naturalized Argentinian center Marcelo Dip (205-84, agency: Players Group) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds. Deco's coach Massimiliano Oldoini used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Naturalized Argentinian power forward Enzo-Damian Cena (200-92) responded with 15 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Daniele Merletto (175-93) scored 11 points and 8 assists.
