Regular Season Round 58: Osaka Evessa - Ryukyu GK 59-76

An interesting game for Ryukyu GK (38-20) which played road game in Osaka against 4th ranked Osaka Evessa (22-36). First ranked Ryukyu GK had an easy win 76-59. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Osaka Evessa. They outrebounded Osaka Evessa 44-26 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Jeff Ayres (206-87, college: ASU) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 18 rebounds. Forward Naoki Tashiro (188-93) contributed with 11 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Ryukyu GK players scored in double figures. American forward Josh Harrellson (208-89, college: Kentucky) replied with 13 points and 6 rebounds and the former international center Pape Faye (200-87) added 9 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Osaka Evessa. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Ryukyu GK maintains first position with 38-20 record. Osaka Evessa at the other side keeps the fourth place with 36 games lost. They share the position with San-en. Ryukyu GK are looking forward to face Shiga L-Stars (#5) at home in the next round. Osaka Evessa will play against Kyoto Hannar. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
