Regular Season Round 28: H.Jerusalem - Eilat 78-81

The most exciting game of round 28 in the Winner League took place in Jerusalem. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of much higher ranked Hapoel Jerusalem (19-8) to fourth ranked Hapoel Eilat (19-9) 81-78 on Thursday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Hapoel Jerusalem. Hapoel Eilat looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Cameroonian-American forward JP Tokoto (198-93, college: UNC) who helped to win the game recording 8 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and Nigerian power forward Suleiman Braimoh (203-89, college: Rice) who added 19 points during the contest. At the losing side Dominican-American James Feldeine (193-88, college: Quinnipiac) responded with 24 points and 4 assists and American forward Tashawn Thomas (203-93, college: Oklahoma, agency: Pensack Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. Hapoel Jerusalem's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Hapoel Eilat maintains fourth position with 19-9 record. Hapoel Jerusalem at the other side dropped to the third place with eight games lost. Hapoel Eilat are looking forward to face Ironi Nes-Ziona (#6) in Nes Ziyona in the next round. Hapoel Jerusalem will play on the road against Beer Sheva and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
