Regular Season Round 28: Gravelines - Le Mans 69-76

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 11th ranked Gravelines-Dunkerque (14-14) was defeated at home by twelfth ranked Le Mans (14-14) 76-69 on Friday. Le Mans dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Gravelines-Dunkerque's 30. The former international Wilfried Yeguete (200-91, college: Florida, agency: BeoBasket) fired a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Valentin Bigote (196-92) chipped in 17 points. Four Le Mans players scored in double figures. Le Mans' coach Eric Bartecheky used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American guard Karvel Anderson (188-91, college: RMU) produced 19 points and his fellow American import point guard Kendall Anthony (173-93, college: Richmond) added 11 points and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Defending champion moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Gravelines and Levallois. Gravelines-Dunkerque lost fourth consecutive game. Le Mans will meet Le Portel (#17) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Gravelines-Dunkerque will play against JL Bourg (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
