Regular Season Round 27: Poitiers - Nantes 76-65

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 10th ranked Nantes' (13-13) road loss to ninth ranked Poitiers (15-12) 65-76. It was an exceptional evening for Kevin Harley (196-94) who led the winners and scored 17 points and 5 assists. American power forward Ron Anderson (202-89, college: S.Florida, agency: Octagon Europe) accounted for 9 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. American-Portuguese Jeremiah Wilson (205-88, college: Tarleton St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and Ivorian swingman Vafessa Fofana (198-92) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Nantes in the defeat. Five Nantes players scored in double figures. Nantes' coach Jean-Baptiste Lecrosnier tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. The victory was the third consecutive win for Poitiers. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Gries/Oberhoffen. Nantes at the other side keeps the tenth position with 13 games lost. Poitiers' next round opponent will be league's leader Chorale de Roanne at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Nantes will play against Caen (#17) and hope to win that game.
