Regular Season Round 28: Strasbourg - Boulazac 93-88

The game between closely ranked teams ended with sixth ranked SIG Strasbourg's (17-11) home victory over 7th ranked Boulazac Basket (15-12) 93-88 on Friday. SIG Strasbourg made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Senegalese center Youssoupha Fall (221-95) fired a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. American point guard Mike Green (185-85, college: Butler) chipped in 18 points and 7 assists. Dutch center Nicolas de-Jong (210-88) produced 27 points (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) and American guard Travis Leslie (193-90, college: Georgia) added 14 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four Boulazac Basket players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. SIG Strasbourg moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Dijon. Loser Boulazac Basket dropped to the ninth position with 12 games lost. SIG Strasbourg will meet Chalons-Reims (#14) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Boulazac Basket will play against Limoges CSP Elite (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
