Bayer Giants defeated Bernau on the road to sweep the semifinal series. Bayer Giants made 29-of-37 charity shots (78.4 percent) during the game. SSV Lok Bernau was plagued by 31 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Nick Hornsby (201-95, college: Sacramento St.) notched a double-double by scoring 26 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and swingman Tim Schoenborn (193-90) supported him with 22 points. Bayer Giants' coach Hansi Gnad allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even a double-double of 33 points (!!!) and 12 assists by point guard Bennet Hundt (178-98) did not help to save the game for SSV Lok Bernau. American power forward Quadir Welton (203-95, college: St.Peter's) added 15 points and 6 rebounds for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.
